Our Philosophy
At Playful Beginnings Preschool, we believe that a play-based, relationship-based approach to preschool is the best way to facilitate learning and growth in young children. We are a home-based preschool that provides a warm and nurturing environment for your child to thrive in. Our program is based on the latest research in child development and emphasizes compassion, creativity, and peaceful conflict resolution. We believe that children learn best when they are engaged in activities that are meaningful to them, and when they feel safe, loved, and respected.
Flexible Daily Schedule
9:00-9:15: Drop-off, all play areas set-up and available for children
10:00: Snack offered with a teacher reading stories
11:45: Light clean-up and setting out lunch boxes
12:00: Lunch time with a teacher reading, having a meeting, or doing a drawing activity
12:30: Play centers open and large group activities offered
1:50: Clean-up time
2:00: Relaxing group time and activity to prepare to go home, our current favorite is felt stories
2:20-2:30: Pick-up
The Best Fit
Play is the learning language of children. When children are playing, exploring, creating, experimenting, and connecting with one another their little worlds become so much bigger! Supporting children's social and emotional development naturally leads to growth in all areas of their development. Whatever your goals are for your little one, being in an environment that is fun and engaging will be the best fit. Our enrollment is flexible, meeting the needs of each child and family. You can enroll a full 5 days, MWF, or TTh. On demand and temporary care is also available.
